The rula machete features a long, top-weighted blade with a single groove to allow flexion in the lower blade when striking. Features a spey point only sharpened on the lower side. Has a red handle for easy location when you lay it down.

Great for weighted ground chops and utility type clearing but a little forward blade heavy for clearing camps or trails. Bought the matching sheath made by MacheteSpecialists and it fits super tight and no movement…high quality by the way. I imagine this best in a clearing type role.
Blade sags an inch when held horizontal due to thinness and forward blade weight. Handle has texture and is built for large size hands maximum, a little thin, and would be perfect for medium or less sized hands or if your wearing gloves…work type situation. If I had a landscaping or clearing BUSINESS, then I would have one in the toolbox for sure…its a beast.
