This is the classic gladiator sword. When you think of a gladiator, or a Roman soldier, this is the gladiator weapon you think of. If you’re going for a legit Halloween costume, you need this as your Roman soldier sword. This has an extremely sharp point on an extremely cool looking blade. I don’t know whether to scream “I am Spartacus!” or just sit there and quietly spin the blade on the ground in my hand like Joaquin Phoenix did while playing Commodus in Gladiator….. trying to intimidate the Senate…as one does.
The Gladius Machete features the classic guard and ball shaped pommel of years gone by, but with the added strength and durability found with full-tang construction and modern materials.
We use high-impact Polypropylene for our handle, making it almost impervious to the elements and rugged beyond belief. The Gladius Machete comes complete with a sturdy Cor-Ex sheath and belt loop for easy of carry and use.

Very nicely balanced. I own several cold steel products and this one is probably my favorite short sword / machete type blade. I’m not much on cold steel handle material so I always do a little modifying on this one all I did was wrap it with sports wrap to cushion and make the grip much better especially once you work up a sweat and the handles get wet. Great blade great price.

Very impressive machete but more like a sword. Fairly Sharp out of the box and can cut paper. Point is very sharp. Very strong and well-made. Has a wide grip that really sticks to your hand. I bought this for a self-defense weapon and I really like it so far
