Holds a great edge ,though, have used it to cut everything from bamboo , hardwood trees, to light brush and it has never suffered any knocks or rolls gas held up great , however it is forward heavy which may be perfect for some but I like a more balanced blade , the handle is quite short and wide not the easiest to hold onto once its sweaty I have large hands so it’s not to bad however I did modify it somewhat. I ground it down for a better fit then wrapped it with sports wrap and now it’s a much better handle still short but better. I have the cold steel double edge gladius and it’s a much better balanced blade, I use all my blades quite a bit and I cant afford to be held up by a cheap blade and I can always count on cold steel.
