The single 500 grit isnt as useful to me as the two-sided grit stones with medium and fine. You won’t be able to put a slashing edge on your ‘chete or golok, just sayin.This particular stone is a bit long and heavy for packing and camp use (unless your gear is carried in a vehicle or pack mules). This stone fails on it’s own merits, YMMV…
