Made of quality 5160 high carbon steel with hand-quenched and zone hardened blades, this Golok will serve you well in all tasks. Authentic forged marks on each golok is an art in itself. The traditional wooden handle made of Beech wood is the most comfortable handle you can ever hold! No more blisters or hotspots, you can chop all day long.
One glance and you will know that this model is modeled after a classic machete. However, machetes are normally made of thin steel and built for slicing. For this parang machete, MY Parang made the blade 12 inches, and of course with a thicker blade stock and a distal taper. The result is a light weight chopper which is very quick in the hand, but chops extremely well. If you are looking for something light that you can chop all day long with, this one is an excellent contender.
Comes with a sturdy ballistic nylon sheath with a hard plastic liner and MOLLE attachments.
