Designed after the traditional Malaysian parang, the Condor  Duku Parang is the ideal companion on your outdoor adventures when clearing paths through the jungle or on the trail. Since it harnesses the strengths of the traditional Malaysian parang, Condor’s Duku Parang utilizes the time-tested blade shape and supplements it with full-tang construction.  Its 1075 high carbon blade is blade coated with satin finished convex grinds and spine. Rich hardwood scales are fastened with pins and a barrel pin adds the option for lanyard attachment.

Condor machetes are unsurpassed in the quality in their craftsmanship.  All come with a sheath whether it be heavy duty leather or ballistic nylon.   The extra item you get with each Condor product (that we can’t put a price on) is the peace of mind knowing that you are using a truly superior cutting tool.

Condor originated in Solingen, Germany and has been producing quality machetes for over 225 years. The company’s roots are in military tools;  however, over the years they have expanded operations to produce a wide range of high quality agricultural tools to better serve customers from various countries.

I really like the Duku machete. It’s beautifully made, has a good heft to it, the blade is substantial without being too thick, and the sheath provides good protection without being difficult to get the machete out or put it back in. Limbs and thick, woody vines are no match for it. I just have to remember to keep it well oiled for this damp, humid Louisiana climate I live in.

All though it looks amazing just as it did in the picture I’m sure this is more of a zombie apocalypse type blade so I guess I’ll save it for that because while out on my adventures I wouldn’t feel confident nor comfortable in a survival situation with a cat.i live in the Northwest and cats are attacking more and more outdoors men and women even killing a couple.it is nicely sharpened but like I said more at the tip and I’d focus on making it more comfortable on the handle it’s blister central.for the price I feel as if it’s really a 40 dollar machete and my money went towards the sheath.great leather built tough and I love the belt swivel for comfortability and movement.great job on that.the stain or finish poorly done shoulda went with a nice stainless coating plus it’s look better or just perfect more on what it is they do while coating or staining.

When I got it it came in edsactly how it looked in photo, great durable blade a little uncomfortable nicely sharpened although for the price it could be sharpened at the point a little more.my only real negative about it is I don’t think it’s worth what I paid.im not too happy about the finish unless it’s how it’s supposed to look but on my blade it looks like someone colored on copper with permanent marker.i have alot of fade on it and it just looks tacky as ish.my 20 dollar Ken onion edition machete is alot more comfortable.i got it from Walmart Mart………no blades good from Walmart unless your buying a buck knife.id say I was mostly paying for the sheath this purchase.
